Oh, hello there.
EDIT (6 weeks later): Yeah, that was a cute idea. Not happening. But I will still post things as the spirit moves me; mostly just for my own entertainment, so I can one day reflect on how AWFUL this time in my life was. And to document the “gumdrop thoughts” that drop from my head to my keyboard, without annoying the crap out of acquaintances on Facebook and Twitter.

Welcome to my life. As you may have gathered, my name is Jax (sort of) and I live in a city.
I moved to the city of brotherly love in late August in an attempt to grow and figure out what the hell I want to do with my life. My theory is, how can you find yourself if you’re not lost in the first place? So I moved 1500 miles away to a city I had previously only spent (approx) 48 hours in, where I knew no one, and had no prospects for a home or a job. Talk about lost. (I’m gonna find myself real good)
Now, many people are apt to categorize this act as “adventurous,” courageous,” even “ballsy.” (I am more apt to call it “desperate” or “something I should have done before college.”) This blog is to set the record straight.
I have no effing idea what I am doing.
Everyday I learn something new, and these lessons are usually the result of humiliating myself in some way. This blog is about the lessons I’ve learned and what I had to go through to learn them.
This is also a blog about navigating your way through a quarter-life crisis. Being unemployed and out of school for the first time in 16 years really gives you a lot of time to reflect, so in order to remain sane and attempt to keep track of my thoughts, I decided to write them down.
I have a feeling I am not alone in many of my experiences/thoughts, so to the kindred souls who stumble upon this site, you are not alone!
